What Happens at a FRESH Clinic
NHS Manchester

You might be embarrassed to visit a Contraception & Sexual Health clinic - BUT DON'T BE! The nurses and doctors that work at FRESH have seen and heard it all before and are very understanding.

We have made some useful tips so you know what it is like to visit a FRESH clinic:

_________________FRESH Reception at Forum
Make sure you go to the right reception desk- you are looking for a sign that says . . .

'Palatine Contraception and Sexual Health'.
The receptionist will give you a number and a form - all you have to do is fill it in. They will never ask you why you have come to the clinic.

When the receptionist calls your number, you can take your form back up and they will book you in.

FRESH at Hathersage

______________FRESH Waiting Area at Forum

At the Hathersage centre you will be sent down to another waiting room, but at the rest of our clinics you will stay in the same waiting area until you are called through to a clinical room by one of our lovely staff members.

(If you want a pregnancy test or STI tests, it's best to try and avoid going for a pee whilst you're waiting. If you're bursting speak to a member of staff and we can get you a pot!).

Sometimes you might have to come back in for another appointment, like if you want an implant or coil. But usually, everything will be sorted on your first visit.
